Mobile9.com’s Free Online Theme Creator Updated!
I posted a while ago about the Mobile9.com online s60 theme creator and since then it has received some BIG updates. It’s still in beta but there have been some massive improvements. If you haven’t yet checked it out you really should!

Updates since my last post include a whole variety of SVG graphics that you can choose from and add to your custom theme including clocks, menu backgrounds, highlights and even icon packs! You can also upload your own icon pack!!
Definitely head over to the Nokia S60 Theme Creator and check it out. You must be a member of Mobile9.com to use it but registration is free as is all of the content on the site! Enjoy :)

CommentsThemer Showcase: Taieb
I first came across Taieb’s themes a little over a month ago and since then his themes have kept getting better and better. I wish I could link them but unfortunately the spot I found him in isn’t exactly a developer-friendly forum. I have seen a few of his themes posted by Mr G over on n95users.com so you can look there for updates. He has made many, many great themes and I’ll showcase a few of my favorites here.
The Cubic series is based on a line of themes by Roman Keller. Roman’s themes are optimized for landscape displays while Taieb’s are perfect for portrait orientation. The download below includes two versions of each of the five colors pictured above; with new icons and without.

The Mocha theme is definitely one of my favorites. It looks awesome on the N95 with a sand or brown back like mine. Note though that this theme is HUGE so it will slow things down a bit.

Teal is a theme with a great background and nice graphics to back it up. I really like the shade of teal that he used; comparable themes are typically much lighter.

Last but not least is Inverted FP2 - probably my favorite of the bunch. The shade is very unique and the new Carbide.ui icons go great with the theme.

CORRECTION: The Teal theme was actually made by Jack 18 - not Taieb. My bad!

CommentsThemes for Thursday!
My last themes post focused on blue so I thought it would be nice to switch it up a bit this time and focus on black and red. So many talented new themers are popping up these days and many established themers have begun exclusively using SVG graphics to accommodate all display resolutions. For the most part, I won’t even look at a theme these days unless it’s scalable. Since I’ve been WAY too busy to work on any of my own themes so here are some great free themes from some of my favorite themers in the biz:

Shockin’Red and Shockin’Black by giambi (both with and without new icons)

Blackest and Redest by Jendell

Clear Dylan by Rugge

Black 1.5 by Jack_18
