Sony Ericsson Intros Red G900 Touchscreen Phone in UK
Sony Ericsson recently launched a red version of its latest mobile phone, the Sony Ericsson G900, in the U.K. The red G900 phone is equipped with the same technology used in the G900 series and the original model. It also has the same design and comes with the same features; the only difference is that Sony has outfitted the phone in a red casing. Currently, the Sony Ericsson G900 is only available on the O2 U.K. network, but is soon to be released on other networks. [Read]
Nokia Unveils 8800 Carbon Arte Cell Phone
Nokia announces yet another version of their 8800. We've already had at least three version of the 8800 - 8800 S40 2nd Edition, 8800 Arte S40 5th Edition and 8800 Arte Sirocco Edition S40 3rd Edition and now we also have the Carbon version. All of the mentioned have small differences in features and build material as does the latest Carbon Edition. [Read]
Sony Ericsson?s W350 Ranks As Slimmest Flip-phone
At 10 mm thick, Sony Ericsson's new W350 Walkman, first unveiled at CES last January (the GSM design is now available through Rogers Wireless) ranks as the slimmest flip-phone available in Canada. It measures 104 x 43 x 10.9 mm (4.1 x 1.7 x 0.4 inches) and weighs 80 grams (2.8 oz.). As one of Sony Ericsson's Walkman designs, the W350 offers stereo A2DP Bluetooth support, FM radio with RDS, and polyphonic ringtones. Top facing Walkman controls make it possible to access key music controls including play, pause and scroll without opening the phone. [Read]
Sony Ericsson Xperia X5?
A Sony Ericsson touchscreen phone with an 8MP camera, the Xperia X5, has been glimpsed on the internet, and set the blades of the rumour mill spinning. A picture of the alleged next Xperia handset has found it's way onto the internet. Looking at the picture it seems to be a concept of some sort mocked up by a SE fanboy. Rumours are saying it will have an 8 Mega Pixel camera, 3.2 inch touch-screen, Wi-Fi and 3.5G connectivity. Seeing the Xperia X1 is about to be released very soon and that was announced a very long time ago and in a very secretive way, I wouldn't be surprised if this is a concept design in the end. Let's hope it is true for the Sake Of Sony Ericsson itself, things aren't looking too bright or interesting in their corner currently. [Read]
Windows Mobile 6.1 update released for Motorola Q9h
Attention all Motorola Q9h owners: Motorola has released an official Windows Mobile 6.1 update that you can download for free from the company's Web site. The upgrade obviously brings the latest version of the mobile operating system to the AT&T smartphone, as well as promise of improved performance and speed. T Mobile launches Nokia Xpress Music phone
Perfectionist bloggers have been giving some fairly mixed reviews to the Nokia 5610 Xpress Music phone, which has just been launched on the T-Mobile network Nokia released another mobile, the 5310, in May and it seems that the new 5610 might be suffering from being in the shadow of this phone, which received the thumbs up from know-what-they-like reviewers. The editor of cnet.com still gave the 5610 a rating of eight out of ten despite reservations about some of its features. [Read]

Have a peak at Alexander's non-QWERTY companion The latest in the slew of handsets to seep from Motorola's colander is Atila. Hot-on-the-heels of the rumoured Alexander, Atila looks to be the non-QWERTY touch-screen offering. The Windows 6.1 professional mobile device will (supposedly) be Motorola's first tri-band UMTS/HSDPA phone, and packed behind the 2.8-inch screen will be Quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE and Wi-Fi capability. Canada's Rogers Wireless has officially released the Motorola ROKR E8 mobile phone and with a low-ish price as well at $99.00 on a three year contract. Google upsets Android developers
We all know and love Google, in many of our eyes Google can do no wrong, But Goggles controversial Android mobile platform venture threatens to damage their reputation, and could affect some of the people it needs the most, according to Computerworld. As Google gets ready for its mobile OS for public release, the behaviour of Google could damage some of its relationships with some Android developers, they seem to be restricting access to key development tools and allegedly treading on open source principles, which have let some Android developers disappointed. VEVA S60
Guess we've missed this, but it was just recently when we caught Qiao Xing Mobile's press release announcing that its VEVA S60 luxury handset has achieved a great success. The device was originally released in May of this year, and during the second quarter the company has sold nearly 100,000 units. Qiao Xing plans to sell 300,000 units in Q3 2008 and somehow we think they'll succeed. The reason is simple - the VEVA S60 is made through cooperation with Swarovski, and each phone is decorated with 129 Swarovski crystal mosaic and 18K gold coating. Motorola's US Mobile Phone Sales Plummet
Motorola remains the top U.S. seller of mobile phones, beating LG Electronics, Samsung, RIM and Nokia, but Motorola mobile phone sales for the second quarter declined almost 11 percent in the United States from a year ago. LG Electronics, Samsung, RIM and Nokia are closing fast on Motorola's sales lead. RIM, maker of the popular BlackBerry, cracked double figures in U.S. market share for the first time. Motorola's slim lead in mobile phone sales can be attributed to a strong distribution network and deep carrier-relationships with both GSM and CDMA markets. [Read]
