The LG Breathalyzer Phone
There’s been a lot of talk on the tech blogs about LG’s Korean-only LP-4100 Sobriety phone and the possibility it will roll out in the United States. The phone has a built-in breathalyzer and is selling very well in Korea. Indeed, given that between 15 and 30% of all road deaths (depending on your country) involve drivers over the legal blood alcohol limits, and there’s been so much kerfuffle since it was shown at CES in January, you’d think it’d be a certainty to debut shortly. LG U400 Music Phone
Is the iPod scroll-wheel that great for navigation? LG seems to think so, and is releasing the U400 slider phone with an off-center scroll-wheel. It’s got 3G video calling, Bluetooth, stereo speakers, 2 megapixel camera and a microSD slot for added storage. The finish is the same as the LG Chocolate phone, but weighs a little bit more. Also, when you’re playing MP3s you can use the scroll-wheel to make scratching noises. Adjusting the volume would have made more sense, but who are we to judge? [Read]
LG Fusic is So So Def with Jermaine Dupri
We first heard about the new Fusic mobile phone from LG Electronics last month, but it is only now that the music-centric clamshell is receiving the official launch treatment, but hey, at least the launch is quite the hip-hopping party. Jermaine Dupri and crew will be on hand tomorrow night as they introduce the Limited Edition "So So Def" Fusic phone.
