Sony Ericsson T700 unveiled
The Swedish manufacturer returns to its roots by introducing the Sony Ericsson T700, the successor of the popular T610. Sony Ericsson today announced the slim and elegant Sony Ericsson T700 building on the heritage of the T610 launched back in 2003. At just 10mm thin, the Sony Ericsson T700 mass market phone features a 3.2-megapixel camera, stereo speakers, 2-inch display and a 512MB memory card out-of-box. [Read]
New President appointed to lead Sony Ericsson India
Sony Ericsson Mobile Communications announces today that Anil Sethi has been appointed to the newly created position of President and Region Head of Sony Ericsson India with immediate effect. Anil joins Sony Ericsson after almost 8 years with Sony Canada in Toronto, where his most recent position was Senior Vice President of Broadcast & Business Solutions and Systems Integration. Prior to this role, he completed a number of high profile international assignments within the Sony Group including, senior business and commercial roles in Europe, India, Saudi Arabia and the UAE. During this time Anil established and managed Sony's first production facility in India and was closely involved in setting up the Sony Gulf regional operations, with its hub office in Dubai, and the Sony India organisation, headquartered in Delhi. Sony Ericsson "Too Dependent" On Walkman and Cybershot Brands
Another downbeat story on Sony Ericsson, which is increasingly being seen as the handset market's next Motorola. The FT interviewed Dick Komiyama, president of Sony Ericsson, who said rather gloomily, "Well, there's always Christmas. Christmas always comes." There's no doubt the high-end handset maker is in a spot of trouble. Another Bond film, another Bond phone. That seems to be the trend in recent tie-ins between mobile phone manufacturers and the James Bond movie franchise. Mysterious Sony Ericsson full touch-screen mobile appears again: video
Back in May there were rumours surfing the net waves of a mysterious Sony Ericsson mobile handset that sports PSP type icons. Well apparently according to MobileWhack, Se-nse got hold of a new updated video, which shows it, isn't the PSP phone. What we can tell from the captured image is that the mysterious Sony Ericsson mobile phone incorporates a two-way mechanism much like the N95; slide down to allow access to multimedia controls, slide up for use of the mobile's camera. Sony Ericsson G705 in Two Weeks?
Rumors about Sony Ericsson phones never seem to end. The latest buzz is that the handset maker has a new slider phone, dubbed the Sony Ericsson G705, up its sleeve and is expected to announce it in just two weeks, writes GSMArena. The G705 is said to feature a 2.4-inch screen, a 3 megapixel camera (sadly, with no auto-focus), built-in GPS receiver and WiFi. Sony Ericsson C702 rugged handset

According to Mobifrance the Sony Ericsson Xperia X1 will be available to Europe on Oct 13th 2008. Costing around 700 Euros before subsidies it is aimed mainly at the high end market.
