Motorola Acquiring Soundbuzz

Motorola is acquiring Soundbuzz, Singapore-based pan-Asian music provider, in order to expand its "MotoMusic" service into India, South East Asia, Australia, and New Zealand. For the past two years, the "MotoMusic" service has been delivering mobile music to consumers through Motorola's carrier customers in China, Hong Kong, and Taiwan. Headquartered in Singapore, Soundbuzz has its own digital music store for the consumer that offers mobile downloads based on the 'Open Mobile Alliance' (OMA) digital rights management (DRM) technology.
